In US soccer, pay gap between men & women
The U.S. Women's Soccer Team stunned the world on Sunday with a stunning 2-0 victory over the Netherlands. The women have now won four World Cups. While the men have yet, they have done so in four other countries. The women have never won the same amount of money than men and they also haven't won four titles. This is one of many reasons the U.S. Soccer Federation denies women equal pay.
There has been controversy over the pay gap between the men and women on the US soccer team for a long time. But the most recent example is the United States's performance. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand highlighted the team’s 13-0 win over Thailand. The US women have scored more goals in World Cup games than the Thai women, which is a record for any country.
