Mexicans have a rich past in boxing. Mexico is home to some of the most talented fighters in boxing, including Julio Cesar Chavez (pictured above) and Oscar De La Hoya (pictured below). Others like Saul "Canelo Alvarez have won world championships, and are icons. Mexico is not as well-known for its MMA talent as it is in boxing but it has produced some the best fighters in MMA's history.

Brandon Moreno

Brandon Carrillo Moreno is a professional mixed martial artist from Mexico. He competes as a Flyweight fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is a former Flyweight Champion and currently serves as the Interim UFC Flyweight Champion. He is known for his fast-paced, intense fighting style.

He has been married to Shirley Moreno for over 10 years. She stands beside him at public appearances. They have three daughters: Maddie was born in 2014, Megan in 2019, and Morgan in 2021. On social media, they shared photos of their loved ones.

Cain Velasquez

After a successful UFC career, Mexican heavyweight Cain Velasquez has found a new career in professional wrestling. He has wrestled in Mexico and the WWE. In December 2018, he signed with the Mexican promotion AAA. He plans to continue wrestling this year.

Nick Diaz

Nick Diaz from Mexico is a world champion in MMA and one of UFC's most charismatic fighters. His last fight was against Rob Lawler, UFC 47. Lawler won the fight by KO in Round 2. Since then, Diaz has not entered the ring professionally. Real Fight, Inc., his own promoter company, has been established. He and his brother have also established a clothing line, as well as a center for jiu jitsu.


This is the highly anticipated fight in which Diaz makes his long-awaited comeback to the octagon. It is possible that this will be his last fight with WME. However, it is unclear what Diaz's future holds. Ferguson will be Diaz's opponent.

Alejandro Perez

Alejandro Perez, a mixed martial artist from Mexico, is currently competing in the bantamweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The reality television series "The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America" made Perez famous. Perez began to focus on MMA after he won the reality TV show.

Perez, 33 is a Mexican national. He was born September 2, 1989. He is now 33 years old and competes in the bantamweight division. On November 15, 2014, he made his UFC debut. He trains at the American Kickboxing Academy.

Melissa Martinez

Melissa Martinez, 25, is a Mexican kickboxer. She has been competing professionally since 2016. She is an excellent prospect in mixed martial arts and has a perfect record. She is a specialist in shock technique. She is also a Muay Thai and kickboxing instructor.

Martinez won a medal at the 2021 World Association of Kickboxing Organiss (WAKO), World Championship, in Italy. She was also awarded the title of best female fighter at this event. She also won the 2016 Pan American Kickboxing Championship and a silver medal at the 2017 World Games. She is also a sixtime national kickboxing champion. She has a promising MMA career and plans to continue competing in kickboxing.
