Lavelle is a Cincinnati-born midfielder

Rose Lavelle is a Cincinnati-based soccer player. She started playing soccer as a child in the YMCA youth coed leagues. When she scored her goal, she didn’t smile or celebrate but kept her cool and carried on playing the game. She played for several local soccer teams, including Cincinnati United Premier Soccer Club. She also played college soccer at the University of Wisconsin.

Lavelle grew up in Cincinnati and went to Mount Notre Dame High School. She later received a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin. She currently plays in the NWSL for the Washington Spirit. Neil Bradford, a Cincinnati Soccer trainer has been instrumental in Lavelle discovering her passion for soccer.

Lavelle was a member of the United States' women's national soccer team at the youth and senior level. In November 2015, Lavelle was named the Top Midfielder in Big Ten. NSCAA gave her the honor of being first-team American. Lavelle played in the USL W-League for both the Dayton Dutch Lions and Seattle Sounders Women's teams in 2014. Lavelle graduated college and joined Washington Spirit. She returned to Dayton after graduation for the 2016 Women's Premier Soccer League.

Rose Lavelle was named Big Ten Midfielder Of The Year in December 2015. She was also selected to U.S. Women's National Team. Unfortunately, she didn't make the roster for game day. She began to get frustrated. She felt like she was not making the right progress and wasn't in the best shape for the rigors of playing for the national team. With Coach Wilkins' help, she was able make it through.

While playing soccer for the Badgers, Rose Lavelle is also a very active member of the university's community service programs. She is a key participant in Wish Upon a Badger Experience. She has also been the brand ambassador for Yuengling's premium light beer FLIGHT.

She is a vital member of the U.S. Women's National Team

Rose Lavelle hails from Cincinnati, Ohio. At just 15 years old, she became a vital member of the U.S. Women's National Team. She played recently in the Czech Republic at SheBelieves Cup. The USWNT won the match 0-0 but they were outshot 18-6 by their opponents. Rose Lavelle won the Budweiser Woman's Choice Award.

Lavelle was injured in a friendly match against Australia in June 2017. She was hurt in the hamstring, but she returned to USWNT for the last game. She displayed a lot creativity throughout the tournament. Her coaches and teammates hailed her as a breakout star.

Lavelle has been to the World Cup for the United States. She made her World Cup debut with Thailand, but she did not play against Chile. She was later back against Sweden, and she helped the United States to press its attacks.
