All of the top players are represented on this roster, including Morgan and Lloyd, Alyssa Trompeter, and Tobin Heatingh.
Morgan
Alex Morgan has been ruled out of two friendlies against England and Spain due to injury. Vlatko Butonovski has released the USWNT's 24-player roster to play in the international matches. Matches are scheduled for October 7th in London and October 14th in Pamplona (Spanish). Both teams are qualifiers for the 2023 World Cup in Australia.
Carli Lloyd
Carli Lloyd is a top goal scorer in US women's soccer history. She is the USWNT's third-highest-paid player with 314 caps. Her career has not been without controversy. It was marred by her split from James Galanis (longtime trainer) and a major accident. She is also the highest paid player in women's tennis.

Alyssa Thompson
Alyssa has the potential to be one of America's top young players. She has the technical skill and speed to beat defenders one-on-one. Tracey Kelly, the US women’s national team's coach, was able to recognize her talent. Kevins recalls Thompson at 13 years old, when she was scouting Southern California clubs. In that game, she came across a forward who was "brave" and "resilient" on the field. Today, Thompson is a member of the US women's national team.
Tobin Heatingh
Tobin Heath is a forward recently selected for the US women’s soccer team roster. She is a standout soccer player, who has represented both the North Carolina Tar Heels (USA) and the United States. The United States Soccer Federation has called Heath "perhaps the most talented player in the USA." US Soccer named Heath Athlete Of The Year 2016.
Hope Solo
Hope Solo is a controversial figure within the women's soccer community, leaving behind a complicated legacy. She is one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time, with 202 appearances in the U.S. team and a record of 152 clean sheet. However, Solo has also been known for her outspoken opinions, and her controversial character has been one of the biggest talking points in the sport.
Tobin Naeher
The United States women’s soccer team is now in the final stages for their World Cup qualification campaign. Tobin Naeher, a surprise selection, has been a valuable member on the roster. She was there every minute of the game and saved four points in the win over France. Naeher also stopped Steph Houghton from trying to make a penalty kick save in semifinals.

Tiffany McLeod
The Canadian women's soccer team was involved in a controversy over referee Christiana Persen's bias. Pedersen penalized the United States with a penalty in the 80th minutes for holding the ball inside the penalty area. Pedersen, a former World Cup referee was not immediately available to comment.
Megan Rapinoe
Megan Rapinoe has been a consistent presence for the United States women's national team for over a decade. The forward is a formidable player on and off of the field. Growing up in Redding California, she played volleyball along with her twin sister and brother. Rapinoe is a big success for the United States of America in recent years. She netted two goals in World Cup 2012 and another in World Cup 2015.
