Morgan Brian is still in high demand despite her outstanding performance at the Olympics. Ali Krieger, however, has fallen out favor. Last player to hear she made the squad was Morgan Brian, who was out of injury for two years. The goalkeeper remains a mystery. Ellis has been able to use three different goalkeepers so far this season. We will find out soon enough. The identities of the remaining four players remain a mystery.

Tierna Davidson

TiernaDavidson, the youngest player on USWNT World Cup roster is an excellent pick for this summer’s tournament. The Chicago Red Stars first-round draft pick is a center back with a playmaker's mentality. Davidson won the national championship with Stanford in 2017 and was drafted by the Chicago Red Stars in the same year. Davidson has now started full training after playing 90 minutes in 2018 for the USWNT.

Ali Krieger

Ali Krieger, defender for the U.S. Women's National Team, has been named in the roster for the 2019 World Cup. The 26-year-old has been awarded three international caps and was the team's best defense in 2015. In 2015, the U.S. WNT's back line managed to keep its opponents to just three goals in five games. Krieger participated in five consecutive shutouts during the World Cup. This included the second round of the group stage and the semifinal match. She scored two game-winning penalty kicks in 2011 against Brazil, and helped the U.S. WNT reach its final against Japan. She was present for all 600 minutes of the tournament.

Carli Lloyd

It is no surprise that Carli Lloyd has been named to the USWNT World Cup roster. The American soccer legend, aged 39, is the star of American soccer. She is currently the highest scoring American player and is the oldest player on the roster. With her assists and goals, the USWNT has reached the final of three consecutive World Cups. The most recent tournament was in France in 2015. Her career is not yet over.

Tierna Mewis

After earning her first U.S. women's national team cap in 2014, Mewis has racked up 47 appearances for the team. Mewis has scored nine goals and served as an alternate in the 2016 Olympic team. Mewis is still a young player, but she is extremely talented. She's an excellent choice as a USWNT midfielder, and her skills and experience will be invaluable to the team as it prepares for the World Cup.

Casey Short

Although it isn't the most glamorous position in women's soccer but Casey Short is an important player on the USWNT roster. She has contributed a lot to the team and earned more than many professional women's football players. Christen, a fellow soccer player, put it this way: "I'm very proud to Casey."

Chelsea O'Hara

While she might be a former winger, Chelsea O'Hara is one of the most talented fullbacks in the USWNT. O'Hara played in 115 matches since 2004, from the U-16s up to the senior team. She has also scored 37 goals for the national team. O'Hara's playing time has been very limited this year. She made two substitute appearances for Utah Royals FC. But she has World Cup experience as she was an important part of the team's 2015 title run.
