The Chicago Sky is an American women's basketball club based in Chicago. The team is a member the Women's National Basketball Association and competes at the Eastern Conference. The franchise was founded prior to the 2006 season. It was initially known as The Chicago Mercury. However, the team is now more popular as the Chicago Sky.

Drafts from the WNBA

Despite the Chicago Sky being quiet during the WNBA drafts, several local players were chosen as high in the first round. Trades

The Sky have made some moves in order to improve their roster for the offseason. They made several trades to acquire draft picks and traded away players. Alaina coates was traded to Minnesota, Kaitlin lou Samuelson was acquired from Dallas and Astou Dour was acquired. Additionally, they traded their 16th selection in the 2021 Draft for a second round pick in 2022.

The Chicago Sky is a professional basketball team in the Midwest United States. Magellan, the team's uniform sponsor, has remained unchanged. The team recently revealed its new gold uniforms. Home games are broadcasted by WCIU-TV, WMEU-CD and WMEU. Some games are televised on ESPN and NBA TV.

Game broadcasts

The Chicago Sky announces their 2021 season game broadcast schedule. Five regular season games will be broadcast by the team on CW26. Lisa Byington will play-by-play and Meghan McKeown will color analyze. Additionally, five games will air on My Michiana in South Bend, Indiana.

The Chicago Sky enjoy a strong fan base that celebrates their accomplishments and works to improve the city. Thousands of Sky fan turned out to support the team when they won the 2015 WNBA Championship. This was a beautiful way to strengthen community spirit.
