Alex Morgan has been injured and will miss the friendlies against England/Spain. Vlatko andonovski, the coach of the USWNT, has released the 24-player roster. The matches will be played in London on Oct. 7, and in Pamplona on Oct. 14, respectively. Both teams qualify for the 2023 World Cup, Australia.
Carli Lloyd
Carli Lloyd is one the most prolific goal-scorers in US women’s soccer history. She is a USWNT veteran with three14 caps. If she plays in both South Korean friendlies, she could earn even more. Her career has not been without controversy. It was marred by her split from James Galanis (longtime trainer) and a major accident. She is also one of the most highly-paid players in the women's sport.

Alyssa Thompson
Alyssa has the potential to be one of America's top young players. She has the technical skills and pace to defeat defenders. Tracey Kevins was the coach for the US women's U-20 national team. Kevins recalled Thompson, 13 years ago, while she was scouting a club near Los Angeles. She met a forward who was "brave", and "resilient" on that field. Thompson is now part of the US national women's soccer team.
Tobin Heath
Tobin Heath is a forward recently selected for the US women’s soccer team roster. She is a standout player who has played for the North Carolina Tar Heels and the United States national team. United States Soccer Federation has referred to Heath as "perhaps the USA's best player." US Soccer named Heath Athlete in the Year 2016.
Hope Solo
Hope Solo has been controversial in the women's football world. She left behind a complex legacy. One of the best goalkeepers ever, she's made 202 appearances for the U.S. team, and holds a record of 152 clean sheets. Solo's controversial personality has been a big talking point in the sport. Solo is known for her outspoken views.
Tobin Naeher
The United States women’s soccer team is now in the final stages for their World Cup qualification campaign. Tobin Naeher, a surprise selection, has been a valuable member on the roster. She was there every minute of the game and saved four points in the win over France. Naeher also made an important penalty kick save in the semifinals, stopping Steph Houghton's attempt.

Tiffany McLeod
Recent controversy in the match between the US and Canada's women's soccer teams saw the Canadian players accuse Christiana Pedersen, the referee, of bias. The Canadians were upset after Pedersen awarded a penalty to the United States in the 80th minute for holding the ball in the penalty area. Pedersen, a former World Cup referee was not immediately available to comment.
Megan Rapinoe
Megan Rapinoe, a steady presence for the United States' women's national soccer team for more than 10 years. The forward is a force on and off-the field. She was born in Redding and grew up playing volleyball with her older brother, twin sister, and younger brother. Rapinoe's performance in recent years has been impressive for the United States. She scored two goals in 2012 World Cup and one in 2015.
