The United States women’s team in soccer is one of the most popular teams in international women’s soccer. They've won four Women's World Cups, four Olympic golds and nine CONCACAF Gold Cups. The roster includes all of the top players, including Morgan, Lloyd, Alyssa Thompson, and Tobin Heath.
Morgan
Alex Morgan is out of the two friendlies against England & Spain because of injury. The USWNT's 24-player roster for the two upcoming international games has been released by coach Vlatko Andonovski. Matches are scheduled for October 7th in London and October 14th in Pamplona (Spanish). Both teams are qualified to compete in the 2023 World Cup of Australia.
Carli Lloyd
Carli is one of the best goal scorers in US women’s soccer's history. She has 314 caps for the USWNT, and could make more if she plays in both friendlies against South Korea. Her turbulent career has been marred by a split with James Galanis, her long-time trainer, and major injuries. She is also the highest-paid female player in the game.

Alyssa Thompson
Among the top young American players, Alyssa Thompson has the ability to stand out as one of the brightest prospects. She has the technical skill and speed to beat defenders one-on-one. Tracey Kevins was the coach for the US women's U-20 national team. Kevins remembers the 13-year-old Thompson when she was scouting a club in Southern California. She came across a forward she considered "brave" as well as "resilient" while scouting a club in Southern California. Thompson is today a part of the US women’s national soccer team.
Tobin Heath
Tobin Heath, a forward, was recently selected for the US women's soccer team roster. She is a star player who played for both the North Carolina Tar Heels team and the United States national team. United States Soccer Federation called Heath "perhaps America's most talented soccer player". US Soccer named her Athlete-of-the Year in 2016.
Hope Solo
Hope Solo is a controversial figure in women's soccer, with a complex legacy. She's one of the greatest goalkeepers and has made 202 appearances for USA team. Her record is 152 clean-sheets. Solo is well-known for her outspoken opinions. Her controversial character has been a major talking point in the sport.
Tobin Naeher
The United States women’s football team is currently in the final stages to qualify for the World Cup. Tobin Naeher was an unexpected selection but has proven to be a valuable player on the roster. She played every minute and made four saves during the 2-1 victory over France. Naeher also saved Steph Houghton's attempt to score a penalty kick in the semifinals.

Tiffany McLeod
Canadian soccer players have accused referee Christiana Petersen of bias in an ongoing controversy regarding the US women's team's match against Canada. Pedersen gave a penalty to the United States for holding the ball within the penalty area in the 80th minute. Pedersen, who is also a former World Cup referee, was not immediately available for comment.
Megan Rapinoe
Megan Rapinoe was a consistent presence on the United States women’s team for more a decade. The forward is a force on and off-the field. Growing up in Redding California, she played volleyball along with her twin sister and brother. Rapinoe, who scored two goals for the United States at the 2012 World Cup, and another one in 2015, has been a huge success in recent times.
