There are many amazing examples of couples of athletes that are currently in the news. You've heard of Amanda Nunes and Nina Ansaroff, Julie Ertz and Zach Ertz, Bird and Rapinoe, and Granato and Ferraro, to name a few. You may even have heard of retired athletes that have found love in each other's arms.
Amanda Nunes and Nina Ansaroff
The two athletes have been in a relationship for over a decade, and their relationship is no secret. They met while they were training at a Florida fitness center in 2012. They were engaged when they met while training together at a Florida gym in 2012. They are a prominent couple in UFC. They work hard together. Nunes has given credit to Ansaroff and stated that she wouldn't be able to do it without her support.
Nina Ansaroff (UFC fighter) competes at strawweight. She was born in Weston, Florida, and started training as a mixed martial artist in 2009. She holds a record 16 wins and 6 losses. She is well-known for her comebacks and is currently ranked 13th in women's poundforpound rankings.
Julie Ertz and Zach Ertz
Zach Ertz and Julie Ertz are both professional athletes. Zach plays tight end for Philadelphia Eagles and Julie plays soccer with the Chicago Red Stars. Both are currently vying to be on the U.S. Women's National Team. Both were students at Bay Area universities when they met.
Zach Ertz was married to Julie Ertz in 2017. Their daughter was delivered a week later. The couple met while playing Stanford baseball, and they were married last March. Fans are celebrating the couple's marriage, which has been featured in the media since then.
Bird and Rapinoe
Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe have been together as athletes. Both are based in Seattle. They talk about many topics, including women's basketball in America. Rapinoe also posted images of Bird on Instagram Story. She also linked to a clip of cheering for Bird. Rapinoe shared an image of Bird on her Seattle Storm profile. Bird and Rapinoe were reunited during the Olympic build-up to Rio Olympics 2016. Olympic athletes are often asked to pose in patriotic hot shots. Rapinoe met Bird while preparing for a photo shoot. Rapinoe asked Bird for a secret. Bird was stumped. Rapinoe explained that Sue wasn't an open book. This inspired Bird.
Granato und Ferraro
Ray Ferraro (left) and Cammigranato (right) are two of the greatest sports personalities in history. Ferraro was an NHL legend who played 18 seasons and was a Stanley Cup champion. Granato was a professional retired ice hockey player. Granato and Ferraro are married and have two daughters.
Granato was the U.S. women’s hockey team captain in 1998. She was inducted into Hockey Hall of Fame in 2010. Ferraro played 18 seasons in the National Hockey League and scored 40 goals twice. He ended his career with 408 assists, 490 goals and 898 points.
Agassi and Graf
Steffi Graf has been a tennis couple of distinction for many years. After both winning the 1999 Roland Garros tournament, the couple fell in love. They began dating, then they got married in 2001. Jaden (Jaz) and Jaz (Emily) are their two children. Graf's mom moved to Las Vegas in 2013 with Peter, after Peter's sudden death. Graf now uses the name Stefanie Graf.
Graf was a lover before they got married. He dated Michael Bartels for two year before finally getting married to Agassi. Brooke Shields, Agassi's girlfriend, was his bride before his 1997 marriage. Their affair was so open that Brooke Shields took photos of Agassi before the ceremony. She commented that "the legs look perfect". They split in 1998 but reconnected in 2001. Graf was playing at a tennis tournament and Agassi was practicing with Graf. After the match, Graf and Agassi found out that they had many things in common, while they also had their differences.
