If you love to play basketball, you might have heard about the Women’s National Basketball Association's records. There are many records held in the league by women, including Sabrina Ionescu’s Triple-double, Sue Bird’s Double-double record, Liz Cambage’s Scoring record, and Sue Bird’s Double-double record. Candice Parker has a career page.

Sabrina Ionescu's tripledouble

Sabrina Ionescu's career triple-double record is a big one. As a college basketball player, she averaged 17.2 point, 7.5 rebound, and 6.5 assists. This record was achieved midway through her second season. She had only played three games during her rookie season due to an ankle injury.

Ionescu was somewhat underperforming in the first part of this season's triple-double performance. Her second half performance was great. Her 24 points, eight rebounds and five assists helped the New York Liberty climb to 9-12 record and make it within half an inch of the playoffs.

Sue Bird double-double

Seattle Storm guard Sue Bird set the WNBA record for career assists with 2,600. Bird's Friday night double-double against the Las Vegas Aces was the largest in league history. Ticha Penicheiro previously held this record. The 30-year-old veteran also made a transition 3-pointer. The Seattle Storm led by eight points with 1:50 remaining, and Bird broke her own record with a 3-pointer assisted by her teammate, Breanna Stewart.

Sue Bird has a basketball legacy that rivals Kareem Adl-Jabbar's. Her two-decade career with the Seattle Storm saw her win four championships and 13 All Star games. She also became the first WNBA player ever to play 500 consecutive games. Bird won five consecutive Olympic gold medals and was named the league's all-time leading scorer and assist maker.

Liz Cambage's scoring record

Liz Cambage is now one of the top centers in the WNBA. She ranks second in the league in points, rebounds, and blocks per game. Currently, she is playing for the Dallas Wings, who have won six of their last seven games. Today's game in Dallas was Kid's Day, where she was surrounded with thousands of children who viewed the game.

Cambage's 53-point effort against the New York Liberty set a new WNBA scoring record. She shot seventy-three per cent from the field and made all 16 of her free throws. It makes her the first WNBA athlete to score so many points in a single WNBA game. In addition, she grabbed 10 rebounds and had five blocks in the game. Cambage has a remarkable record and is clearly enjoying a great season.
