He has previously been an assistant coach with the Seattle Storm. Another coach with WNBA experience is Katie Smith, who was the head coach of the New York Liberty in 2018-19 and is currently an assistant coach for the Minnesota Lynx. Before joining the Dallas Wings, Chatman coached the Indiana Fever in the NBA.
