The Women's National Basketball Association All-Star Game, an annual exhibition basketball game featuring the best players from the Western and Eastern Conferences, is held every year. The United States broadcasts the game and millions of viewers view it every year. This game is a must watch for basketball fans and one of the most watched sports events in the world.
Sylvia Fowles
Sylvia Fowles was honored to be a selection in the WNBA All Star Game. She is currently playing in her final season and averages 14.9 points per game, 9.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals. Her team, the Minnesota Lynx is currently at 8-15 and 2.5 games away from the playoffs.
Fowles, a former LSU player, took advantage of a breakaway opportunity to dunk in quarter 2. Fowles was in a position to press Team Stewart’s ball-handler for an error and then took the ball and slammed into it. Team Wilson won the game with seven points and nine boards.
Sue Bird
Sue Bird, a Chicago Bulls player, was named co-captain for the WNBA All-Stars team. Breanna Stewart, Sylvia Fowles and Sue Bird will all be playing in their final WNBA seasons. The game will be played on Sunday, July 10, at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. It will be televised on ABC.

Sue Bird was selected for the eighth All-Star Game and Sylvia Fowles, the 13th All-Star Game. Fowles was the star of the first half with her breakaway dunk. Sue Bird, Fowles and a standing ovation were given to them after the game.
Arike Olubowale
Arike Ogunbowale has been selected to her first WNBA All-Star roster. She is a two-time NCAA winner. She was the league's highest scorer and currently ranks eighth for the Dallas Wings in points per games. She is expected to be an important part of Team USA's preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The WNBA All-Star Game will be held in Chicago July 9-10. The Saturday night event has special events added by the WNBA. This includes a skills competition, and a three person contest. Ogunbowale wants to be a part in the next All-Star game. Team USA won the previous All-Star match.
Kelsey Plum
Kelsey Plum was the Aces' first WNBA All Star Game guard. She scored 30 points in defeat to Team Stewart. Despite being small, Plum was the WNBA All Star Game’s MVP. However, her MVP trophy was dwarfed in comparison to the All-Star MVP trophy of NBA's Kobe Bryant. WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert brought some humor to the event, and she presented Plum with a new trophy after the game.
Plum claimed she was trying to win the MVP award. Plum set an All-Star mark by making 12 field goals during the game and taking 18 shots. She currently averages 19.9 point per game. In addition to participating in WNBA All Star Game she will also be representing the United States during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics' 3x3 basketball competition.

Arike Ogunbowale receives the MVP award
Arike Ogunbowale was named MVP of the WNBA All-Star Game. The Dallas guard was a Notre Dame basketball player. She was the fifth overall pick of the WNBA draft. Vanessa Bryant, Vanessa Bryant's mother, was a fan. Her family voted her in, so this is an extra special award.
The 2021 WNBA All-Star Game saw a lot of changes, but the game still remains an all-star event. Ogunbowale was the lone WNBA athlete to win MVP honors. Team USA won the matchup by 93 - 85. Ogunbowale also has the chance to do the same feat again in two years since she was named a reserve for the 2022 WNBA all-star game. The game will be held in Chicago, and will be broadcast on ABC.
